1.  If the Macintosh you are using is off, turn it on.

2.  Insert the Apple Scanner disk into a disk drive.

The Apple Scanner disk icon appears on the desktop.

4.  Drag the AppleScan folder into the hard disk’s window.
           
             — IMPORTANT —
The entire contents of the AppleScan folder must remain in the same folder.  If the AppleScan application is moved to the desktop, place all of the other files and documents in your System folder.
